And we're MOBILE!

Dylan is officially ALL OVER THE HOUSE and INTO EVERYTHING! He has learned to crawl and it's adorable. He explores anything and everything within his reach. We are definitely baby proofing. Welcome to the world of cabinet locks, baby gates and plug protectors. It's a whole new world for Nick and I to get used to too! He has perfected "mama" and it is so adorable. Dylan also makes this "mmm" noise while he eats things he likes. It is so funny! He sits in his high chair and mashes his gums and goes "mmm" really loud. I'm trying to catch all of these things on video but now that he moves I'm constantly trying to stay one step ahead of him and it's hard!

My easy going baby now has likes and dislikes and is not as easy going as he once was. He does not like it when you take things away from him (IE. the remote, the phone, my 2nd blackberry since he slobbered all over the 1st one and ruined the screen). Dylan will pull himself along anything he can and walk around it. He loves to go in circles around our ottoman. One really cute thing he has learned (well, they're all cute ;)) is when he is tired or wants to cuddle, he will crawl over to you and pull up on your leg. It's adorable. With all of these new skills comes a learning curve. My poor baby has taken a few spills. He can get up. but not down. We're working on that.

Dylan had his 9 month appointment today and boy has he come a long way. He now weighs 18lbs 13oz and is 28" long! The 50th percentile for both. The doctor is very pleased with his weight gain and gave him an A+. Dr. B also warned us that he will probably be walking before he turns a year. Yikes!!! We also got the green light to phase out baby food and start on table food. I'm a little nervous about this but I'm sure Dylan will be happy to have some real food. He's also getting all 4 of his top teeth at once. Poor guy! Hopefully they come through quickly.

Here are a few recent photos. I need to take some more. We have just been so busy and he requires so much more supervision, it's hard. So here are these for now and more to come soon.

We celebrated my Mom's birthday

Dylan likes Ace's toys more than his own! (I know, this is GROSS and we have since stopped this habit)

We went swimming at Auntie Camy & Uncle Brett's new house!!! Dylan brought his new Jeep and had a great time.

He pulls himself up!

And crawls!

Our friend Kristen took some fabulous family photos for us at Lodi Lake. Julie and Giada provided the entertainment and helped Dylan smile. They also made Nick and I almost wet our pants laughing!

Father's Day 2009!!!! We spent the morning with my Dad then celebrated at home with Nick that evening. For Father's Day I took some photo's of Dylan with some letters then framed them. It came out adorable and I think Nick really liked it!

Long time no post...

I know, I know, it's been a while. Things have been so busy that the blog has suffered. Please forgive me.

Dylan has grown so much since the last update and developed so many new skills. He has said his first word and he now crawls! We had to lower his crib mattress tonight because he can also pull himself to a sitting position. My oh my has my little "thor" changed!

Who me??
He is so proud of his collection

8 Month Photo Attempt

The blocks are becoming more of a distraction than a cute prop. He is WAY more interested in playing with them than posing for me.

Dylan loves watermelon!

And his first word is...

On the move!

Happy Birthday to ME! Happy Birthday to ME!

...Happy Birthday dear ME, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Yesterday was my 28th birthday! Whoa, I'm getting old. It was fun to think back to last year when I was pregnant on my birthday.

Nick took me to the city to celebrate last weekend. We stayed in a nice hotel close to Union Square. We had the best time shopping, walking around and eating. We also took Dylan to his first Giants game! He did really well! There was this woman behind us had the most awful cackle when she cheered and it made Dylan cry every time! Finally she caught on she was making him cry so she stopped. I was very thankful, her cackle was about to make me cry!

Why we have a crib bumper... This was within 2 minutes of putting him in the hotel crib!
All ready to go to the game! With his Giants bear give-away!

These kids had all of the All-Star ballots from our section. Vote for Bengie!!!!!

Auntie Amy & Uncle Jorge!

No, I didn't get so fat that I can't even zip my North Face up, Dylan is sleeping in the Moby in there (It got pretty cold) :)

All tuckered out from the game
For my actual birthday I was spoiled. Nick made me a fabulous breakfast of my favorite french toast, Julie brought me coffee, I had a mani & pedi at lunch and Nick took me, our families and local friends out to a yummy dinner at the Waterloo Club. To finish it all off he also had my FAVORITE Cookies & Cream ice cream cake from Coldstone!!!! I wish everyday was my birthday!!!!!!

Thanks for the wonderful birthday Kernel!
