31 Weeks!

Thor will be here in 9 weeks!!!! I can't believe it. Once again, we've had a busy couple of weeks. Where do I start...

We finally started on the nursery! I am so excited with the progress so far. The paint colors are awesome and the stencils are working out better than I expected. We have some more painting to do, a chair rail to install and we need to hang the fathead on the wall (it's currently just slapped up there with tape). Then, the furniture can be moved in and stuff can be put away!!! He definitely will have the coolest room in the house.

Nick & I also managed to get away for a few days last week. Sort of a "babymoon". We went to San Diego to visit our friends Jordan & Sheri Roach. We had the most relaxing couple of days going to the beach a few times and even the horse races at Del Mar! We won our bets on the first 2 races and got excited, but then lost the last 6 :( I don't think we should quit our day jobs.

Finally, last Saturday was my first baby shower!!! My wonderful friend Julie Coldani threw the shower with help from her Mom and Mother-In-Law. It was so much more than I could have ever expected!!!!!! The entire shower was Giants themed! So awesome!!! Thor received some excellent gifts that I am very excited to put to use. It is so hard to believe that he will be small enough to fit into some of the items we received. It's also kind of scary to think that I will need all of the diapers that people brought...

Tomorrow (8/12) is Nick & my SECOND ANNIVERSARY!!!! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I am so happy with the life we have created together and could not imagine sharing it with anyone else. I love you Kernal!!!!!! Here is one of my favorite wedding pictures.

What a busy few weeks!

Wow, the past 2 weeks have flown by. We have been going non-stop with activities!

First, my parents moved up to Stockton on July 19th! Nick & I (and Thor) flew down to LA to help finish packing and help drive cars & U-Hauls back. It's so great to have them here!!! We spent the next few days visiting and unloading U-Hauls. Well, they did. I carried lamps and other "light" things :)

Then on Monday the 21st, my sister came home from Chile!!! I haven't seen her since January and was SO EXCITED to see her!!!! She had to rush to Napa to go back to work but I'm glad I got a few days with her to catch up.

This past weekend my friend Katie got married!! We spent the weekend in San Luis Obispo celebrating Katie & Brett's wedding. It was an eventful, exhausting fun-filled weekend with friends. The weather was perfect and Katie was such a beautiful bride!

Unfortunately with all of this activity, we have made no progress on the nursery. The goal is to have some paint on the walls this week!

Party Animal!

This past weekend Thor crashed his second bachelorette party! He celebrated the upcoming wedding of Cassie Palla in Lake Tahoe. He definitely reacted to the music this time and was quite active while we were at Club Vex. There was a celebrity golf tournament in Tahoe so we saw quite a few famous folks! The picture below is of my favorite celeb we met, Kevin from The Office!

We also bought our furniture this weekend!!! My Dad and I went to the Goore's warehouse sale on Friday and bought an awesome crib and dresser for the nursery! For now, here is a picture of the furniture at the warehouse. I'll post more when it's set-up. Currently it is boxed up in the living room while we paint.

OMG, Double Digits!!!!

Nick and I did the math last night and we are officially 97 days from my due date!!!!!!! Holy Moly did that creep on us! I suppose we should start preparing :) The good news is I think we are done registering and we have started on the nursery. I'll post pictures of the nursery as we work on it.

Thor's Big Night Out

This weekend Thor crashed his first bachelorette party! We were in sunny San Diego to celebrate Katie Connell! It was an awesome weekend with some great stories. One of my favorites was when Katie decided Thor had a British accent. She would listen to my belly then relay the message to everyone with her accent. The accent got better as the night went on! My other favorite happened when we were dancing. A guy came up behind me and started dancing not realizing I was pregnant. As soon as he saw my 6 month preggo belly, he took off so fast! It was hysterical! Don't worry buddy, it's not yours!!! :)

I have never enjoyed being kicked & punched until now!

I am now 23 weeks pregnant! Time is really flying by. I can feel Thor move all the time! It is the greatest feeling ever!! Nick has even been able to feel him a few times. In the past week he has been to his first concert, Kenny Chesney/Brooks & Dunn/LeAnn Rimes/Gary Allen/Luke Bryant, and his first baseball game, Giants vs. A's. Below is a 23 week picture from before the game. You can also see my fabulous new haircut given to me by my awesome sister in-law, Marisa.

Happy 27th Birthday!

We celebrated my 27th birthday yesterday! Here is a shot of me and my belly before dinner. Nick got a group together and we enjoyed Mexican food & my favorite, Cold Stone's! Thank you everyone for all of your birthday wishes.

In this picture I am 21 weeks and 3 days along! We have decided to call the baby "Thor" until he is born. I am only allowing this so that Nick gets it out of his system before we have to pick a REAL name for our son :)
