Vacation July 2009!

We spent the last week in Sunny HOT Southern CA. We spent one night visiting my Aunt & Uncle then headed to San Diego to spend the week with Nick's parents.

Saturday afternoon (after sitting through typical LA traffic) we arrived at my Aunt & Uncle's. We had a wonderful afternoon in the pool and playing in the backyard. In the short time we were there Dylan got into plenty of trouble!

Sunday morning after a wonderful breakfast (and a hair rinse in the kitchen sink for Dylan who decided to bathe in his oatmeal) we headed south to San Diego. It was a beautiful ride and we were met by Nick's Dad who was SO EXCITED to see Dylan.

Monday morning we packed up and headed to Disneyland! This was Dylan's first trip and I crossed my fingers he would do alright. It was a HOT day and we were gone all day. Thankfully Dylan did great! He loved the rides and all of the people watching!

We spent a few days relaxing at home and shopping around town. On Wednesday we went to the beach! Dylan loved it. He ate so much sand I was surprised there was any left on the beach!

While we were in San Diego, we also visited the Zoo! It was really hot but Dylan was a trooper.

Happy 4th of July!

Finally got the 4th photos uploaded. We spent a wonderful weekend in Graeagle with the Coldanis' (5 of them), the Gramm's and the Shivley's. It was such a fun weekend of food, beer, kids and TONS of "festive" folks.

Dylan's 1st fireworks! It was a great show!!!! We were so close there were ashes falling on our faces. Dylan actually liked the fireworks! He watched them for a while then fell asleep.

9 Months Old!!!!!

Today is Dylan's 9 month birthday! He is so funny these days. So many new skills and so much changed every single day. It takes Dylan about 3 days to master a skill. For instance, before Nick went to Tim's bachelor party he was sort of scooting around. By the time he got back he was crawling as if he'd been doing it for years. Dylan crawls circles around our kitchen island and chases the chihuahuas all over. He used to pull himself up on our ottoman stand there and cry because it couldn't figure out how to get down. Now he will pull himself up, walk in circles around it, move to the couch then sit himself down on the floor. In true Dylan fashion, he doesn't get one tooth at a time. All 4 of his top front teeth are poking through! Poor guy. He also eats solid food now! We're experimenting with all sorts of things. He loves bananas, nectarines, pears, asparagus risotto, zucchini, broccoli, spaghetti, lasagna! It's so fun and so messy ;) My parents have been working with Dylan on waving to Nick every morning when he leaves. Now he waves to everyone and everything. Even the "Bob's" (aka. Benito and Bob ;) )

I know I owe a 4th of July post. I think Nick is going to upload and send me the photos today.
