This year for vacation we traveled with my entire family to Southern CA. To celebrate my grandparent's 60th anniversary, they rented a house on the beach in Dana Point. The house was beautiful and right on the beach! It was so perfect for the kids. We walked right off of our porch onto the sand. It was so nice not to have to pack anything up to go to the beach. It was an adventurous week with all of us in one house but everyone came out alive. You think I'm joking but we survived a fire! While making dinner one night the BBQ caught on fire. Thankfully the 2 retired police officers also know how to put out a fire. Krissy, Mamaley and I grabbed the kids and ran out front as our house filled with smoke. Thankfully the fire was put out and all was well. As long as we were down south, we also went to Disneyland and San Diego to see Nick's parents. Disneyland was great! Dylan loved running around and meeting the characters. His love for It's A Small World also continued from last year. He got so excited while we were waiting in line and couldn't wait to get on the boat! Then he would dance and sing the entire ride! Absolutely adorable! He slept through Fantasmic but the rest of us enjoyed it.
At the beach we...
Played ball with Rylee and Uncle Jeff
Ate Otter Pops,
enjoyed sunsets,
hung out with Nolan,
enjoyed the deck,
watched Daddy boogie board,
had time outs,
found new places to climb,
played in the water,
(thanks for the warning Nick)
demanded licorice,
did arts & crafts,
read books,
and celebrated Rylee's 3rd birthday!
Then it was off to Disneyland!
And finally off to San Diego where we ot haircuts :)
