Thank Goodness!

We had a doctor's appointment this morning and the doctor calmed my fears of having a 19lb baby. He just feels so big in my belly and I have been paranoid he will be some HUGE child I have to give birth to. Thankfully, this is all in my head. Thor is actually measuring on the small side and the doctor is estimating that his birth weight will be between 7-7.5lbs! Very manageable :)

33 Weeks!

Whew, another busy weekend. Saturday we had Jackie's baby shower in Windsor! It was so much fun to see her get some adorable little girl things. They are so different from all of "Thor's" things :)! I can't wait to meet Baby Bordessa!

The Preggo's!

Nick and I also made progress on the nursery this weekend. We put together swings & bouncers and more toys! I took Friday off work and headed to Goore's with my Mom to purchase some items we still needed. I am starting to feel like if he came now, we would be prepared. Check out the PERFECT rug in the nursery! It completes the look (thanks Mom & Dad)!!!!

Showers!

Surprise, another whirl-wind weekend! "Thor" & I attended 2 showers and had my family visiting! We had an excellent time but need a few nights of good sleep to recover ;)

On Saturday, we went to a Dessert Shower for my friend Cassie Palla. What a great idea! Chocolate fountains complete with every fruit and food you would ever want to dip! This was followed by "Thor's" first slumber party at Camy's.
On Sunday, Jerri, Sara & Camy threw me a FABULOUS baby shower! It was so beautiful and they served the most wonderful food! Everyone brought a book for the baby and now he has a great library to get him started! I had such a great time visiting with everyone and relaxing at Camy's house. Nick, "Thor" & I received some wonderful gifts including my Vera Bradley diaper bag & our stroller (which the boys were very happy to test out). Now Nick & I need to sort through everything to see what we still need (it can't be much!)

"Thor" is so lucky to have such wonderful "Aunties"!!!!!!!! Thank you so much to everyone for traveling to the shower. Friends & family came from far and near and we love you all!

Spectacular Hostesses!
Great Friends!

Woo Hoo!! Almost there...

Well, we have made a ton of progress in the last 2 days! My Dad installed a beautiful chair rail for us, he and Nick moved the furniture upstairs, and Nick & I put everything together last night! We still have some work to do but it's starting to look like nursery!

More nursery progress below!!

31 Weeks!

Thor will be here in 9 weeks!!!! I can't believe it. Once again, we've had a busy couple of weeks. Where do I start...

We finally started on the nursery! I am so excited with the progress so far. The paint colors are awesome and the stencils are working out better than I expected. We have some more painting to do, a chair rail to install and we need to hang the fathead on the wall (it's currently just slapped up there with tape). Then, the furniture can be moved in and stuff can be put away!!! He definitely will have the coolest room in the house.

Nick & I also managed to get away for a few days last week. Sort of a "babymoon". We went to San Diego to visit our friends Jordan & Sheri Roach. We had the most relaxing couple of days going to the beach a few times and even the horse races at Del Mar! We won our bets on the first 2 races and got excited, but then lost the last 6 :( I don't think we should quit our day jobs.

Finally, last Saturday was my first baby shower!!! My wonderful friend Julie Coldani threw the shower with help from her Mom and Mother-In-Law. It was so much more than I could have ever expected!!!!!! The entire shower was Giants themed! So awesome!!! Thor received some excellent gifts that I am very excited to put to use. It is so hard to believe that he will be small enough to fit into some of the items we received. It's also kind of scary to think that I will need all of the diapers that people brought...

Tomorrow (8/12) is Nick & my SECOND ANNIVERSARY!!!! I can't believe how fast time has flown by. I am so happy with the life we have created together and could not imagine sharing it with anyone else. I love you Kernal!!!!!! Here is one of my favorite wedding pictures.
