First time in the BIG pool!!

Last night we took Dylan swimming at his Uncle Jeff's! I didn't think he would really like it because the water was a tad chilly but he LOVED it! He floated around for about an hour!! We had a raft for him that he was very comfortable in and he also swam a little with us. I think we have a future Michael Phelps on our hands (minus the whole marijuana thing). Nick and I had a great time swimming with our niece and nephew. You have to drag both of those kids out of the water. They are adorable!

Bath Time Buddy!

Dylan has a new best friend who visits him every night in the tub... himself! He laughs with the cute little boy in the mirror his entire bath. It takes him a few minutes but as soon as he sees his friend, he gets so excited!

I LOVE long weekends!

What a fabulous weekend! I think we should always have Friday & Monday off! Nick and I spent the whole weekend with Dylan and had a blast. His Dad, Susan and Marisa were in town and it was so great to spend time with them as well.

Friday Dylan had a baby pool party with Giada Coldani. The parents enjoyed sandwiches & wine and the babies enjoyed some time in the pool!

Giada was worn out!
Saturday we went on a long bike ride with my Dad. We rode to a nearby park and stopped to play on the swings & slide. Then to my parents to say hello to my Mom and Happy Birthday to Ace. After that we stopped at the Farmer's Market then finally home. We spent the evening at the Coldani's with our friend Tim who was visiting from the cold foggy city ;)
Swinging at the park!

Pooped from the ride
Sunday we spent at home with the Kerns. Jeff, Savannah & Dominic visited for a bit and we took all the kids to the neighborhood park.

The Kerns Cousins!

Monday it was more family time with the Kerns, followed by a wonderful BBQ with my parents. My Mom made my favorite meal - ribs, corn bread, corn on the cob & fruit salad!

Dylan's new favorite game - Where's Dylan?

There he is!
I started another adventure this weekend - baby food making! I decided it would be good for Dylan and a little easier on the wallet if I made some of Dylan's food. The jarred stuff is EXPENSIVE! Jerri gave me a book for Christmas and I was very excited to use it! I spent a good portion of the weekend steaming, baking & pureeing! So far so good!

His first homemade meal! Oatmeal (not homemade) & nectarines!

7 Months, Mother's Day & Shower Weekend!

Whoa, BIG Update! So much has happened since the last update I think I better bullet point this one.

1 - Holy cow, Dylan is 7 months old! I seriously can't believe it. I think this is my favorite age so far. He is so much fun to play with, knows who we are and sleeps pretty well ;) He is rolling like CRAZY! All over the place - front to back, back to front and laughs hysterically the whole time.

On a date with one of his girlfriends, Giada (we supervised of course)
Fun with the sippy cup!
I am my Mommy's son! I heart Diet Pepsi!
2 - I had my first official Mother's Day. It was such a great Mother's Day weekend. My Aunt & Uncle and Grandparents came to visit and we had so much fun. Dylan loved all of the attention and family time. Dylan and I also walked the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 5k with our friends for Kristin & Julie's birthdays. Lucky guy had Lindsay carry him almost the entire 3 miles. He loved being out and about! We spent Mother's Day morning with my family, then dinner with Nick's Mom. In between we got some quality time with just the 5 of us (yes, the chihuahua's are still my babies). Dylan and Nick got me the most adorable gift. A frame with Dylan's foot & hand print. I LOVE it!

Happy Birthday Jules!

Hanging out with Auntie Lindsay

3 - This past weekend we held baby showers for Camy & Tara at my house. They were both wonderful and I got the bonus of having 4 of my friends sleep over Saturday night! Boy have our nights together changed. I think we each drank 2 Blue Moon's (well, the non-pregnant ones did) and were in bed by 11. ;) The showers were supposed to be outside but due to the 100 degree temps we moved them into the living room. Everything worked out so well and we all had a great time!
The Mommy-To-Be's!

Camy's shower was pretty in PINK!

We chose Dr. Seuss for Tara

Of course we had green eggs & ham! Dylan was dressed in the theme

Yep, we had real fish on the table. We had 2 casualties the night before so Anna and I made a late run to Pet Smart for some replacements ;)

Chugging contest from bottles. The Mommy-to-be won!

We decorated burp cloths for Baby Littrell. I will sew them together this week!
