16 Weeks Old!

Yes, it's true. My little baby is growing up and is now 16 weeks old. He is growing up so much! Because I am now back at work, we are somewhat in a routine. He gets up between 6-7am and hangs out with me in the office while I work. We wake up Nick around 8am then he takes over Dylan duty until around 9:30am when he drops him off with my parents. I pick him up around 4:30pm then we hang out until bedtime at 8pm. So far, so good. I miss him so much during the day but it's very reassuring to know he is with my parents. I have even snuck over a few times to visit him at lunch! :)
This week we put together his exersaucer. While he is still a little small for the seat, he loves it! There is so much to look at and listen to!
Trying out the Exersaucer

We had dinner with Jerri, Sara, Katie & Emery in Walnut Creek. Dylan was so excited to meet his Auntie Katie!

And since Jerri doesn't update her blog, I'm posting some pictures of her ADORABLE daughter! Sara gave her a lime and she loved it!
Hanging out with Dad

This is how Dylan wakes up almost every morning, SO HAPPY! I brought a camera when I went to get him from his crib this morning and here is what I saw...

Back to work...

I have officially changed my status from a stay at home mom to a working mom. It's really hard to spend this much time away from Dylan every day. I am VERY lucky that my parents are watching him for us. I can pop over to their house for lunch and see him. But, it's still hard to be away.

On Sunday, Tracy & her kids and Jerri & Emery came to visit us! We had a great afternoon chasing the kids around. It's so hard to believe we now have 5 kids between the 3 of us!

Dylan is also battling his first illness. The poor guy has the stomach flu. I'm not sure if he gave it to Nick or Nick gave it to him, but it is going around my house. Hopefully my boys get well soon! I did take Dylan to the doctor today and he weighed 12lbs!!!! Granted that was fully clothed, but still... my baby is getting big!!!
Dylan is becoming more and more aware of his surroundings every day. He is so curious. Susan calls him nosy! He hates to sit still and loves to explore. He truly "talks" to his toys now and stares at them like he is waiting for them to respond.

"Talking" to his parrot!

Some new shots

Here are a few photos I took of Dylan last week. Hopefully soon I will take him to have some professional pictures taken. But, these will do for now. He has grown so much!!!

So true!

3 Months!!!!!!

Whoa, that title is surreal. I absolutely cannot believe Dylan is 3 months old. Time has gone by so fast and he has changed so much! Unfortunately I go back to work next Friday so I am enjoying my last full week off with him. I just asked Nick if we had done anything exciting since New Years that I could post about and we haven't. It is so nice to be home!!! We've had dinner with my parents and a Rock Band concert with the Coldani's & Diehl's. Not that those aren't exciting events, but it has been nice to be mellow.

Dylan now talks up a storm. He also thinks having his diaper changed is the best thing in the world. Whenever you put him in the changer and take off his pants he giggles and smiles. It's pretty funny. I have a feeling he is going to be one of those kids that strips off all of their clothes and runs around naked. We had another major milestone this week... Dylan now sleeps in his crib. It was sad to move him out of the bassinet in our room, but I know it was the right thing to do. Nick let me buy a video monitor to watch him. It's fun to watch Dylan play in his crib. My Mom thinks I wanted it to act as a nanny cam when she watches him :) He has done really well the past 2 nights (knock on wood). He is really good at entertaining himself while he is awake. We love to watch him laugh and talk to his mobile & aquarium. Nick and I have also started running again. It's time to lose the baby weight! Dylan loves riding around in the BOB with us. For the first half of the run he looks around with big eyes at everything passing by. By the second half, the motion has put him to sleep :)

Talking to his rain forest friends

Chewing on Dad's finger. Yummy!

Getting ready for a run. Benito wanted to come too.

Do you see a theme in his clothes? I hope I don't become one of those crazy mom's who is obsessed with their children... Please tell me if I do!

A happy guy getting his diaper changed!

We put the rattle in his hand and he laughs when it makes noise. He doesn't understands it's making noise because he is shaking it...

Happy New Year!

Wow, 2008 FLEW by. A year ago today, Nick & I were waking up at the Busalacchi's, still in our 80's clothes, cleaning up bagna calda (which is delicious while eating but disgusting the next day) and anxiously waiting for Marc to make Gin Fizzes to help stop the ringing in our heads. This morning, I woke up at 4:30am to feed my baby then went back to sleep until 7:45am to feed him again and watch the Rose Parade. Life has changed :)

This was the first New Year's Eve Nick and I have ever spent together at home. We had the Towne's over to celebrate 2009 and Jamie's 27th birthday. Mason, the Towne's baby, was born on December 5th. The boys were great and we all had a wonderful time. I can't believe I made it until midnight! I even surpassed my own expectations and stayed up until 1:30am. What a party animal!

Happy Birthday Jamie!
The boy's first sleep over! They were out around 10:30pm.
Nick's family left today. Well, Marisa left on Monday but the rest of the family left today. We've had house guests for the last 2 weeks and it has been so much fun. I guess this is a signal that the holiday's are really over and it's time to get back to the real world. I go back to work on Jan 16th and am not looking forward to it. :(
Fun times with Poppa & Dad

Our empty living room. It has been filled with loved ones for the past 2 weeks.
